Hopefully, you have recognised you symptoms by doing self-research or visiting the GP. I would strongly recommend visit your doctor immediately if you feel that you have some sort of mental health problem. Please do not wait until your problem become worse or feel ashamed of your feelings. Remember, most of the population will experience emotional problems at some point. And most of all, anxiety is a genuine health condition and with proper support you can manage to cope with your problems. There are some simple tips I can give you, but please be aware, I am not a doctor so please visit your GP for medical advice. Some anxiety sufferers may find that they can cope with their symptoms and still peruse an active lifestyle that is great if you can do that. But I would strongly recommend you to see you GP if your anxiety is stopping you from certain activities in life, no matter has silly to you it seems. If you do decide to visit the GP, He/She will talk about your feelings to make a brief assessment on you condition, and sometimes, they will recommend a blood test to rule out any underlying disorders. If the GP feels your condition is only mild, then talk therapies or self-techniques to overcome your anxiety is advised sometimes your GP may give your medication. If your anxiety problems peruse or become more serious then the GP will make a referral to mental health services in your area. Some anxiety sufferers may receive specialist treatment such as cognitive therapy, psychiatry, occupational therapy, or group therapy. For many anxiety patients, there condition can be usually managed by medical treatment from the NHS. But there are a few like myself, who has tried many treatments and medication but still suffers with their anxiety problem. It all depends on the individual and how they respond to medical treatments. Please if you one of those who feel they are not responding to treatment well from their health service, then please speak up. You need to keep trying with different types of treatment before you find the right one. If you eventually recover from your anxiety problems, then that is great. But there is always that doubt in your mind wondering if you will relapse. When you have mental health problems, you have to take each day as it comes, and it is normal to sometimes feel anxious, as long as it is not seriously impeding on your life.
